  1. Hi Jenny, Greetings from Kernersville where i woke up to our first light frost. Thank you for this lovely video. Extra special. Loved seeing you, Jerry, your family and staff on Saturday. Just walking around Creekside was a joy. The special plant finds i brought home for my neighbor's garden and mine are now in the ground and their roots are happy with some BioTone helping their roots to grow vigorously. Today will be another autumn cleanup day for me then it will be time for tulip bulbs to get in the ground. Such fun and good exercise for this old lady. Bye for now.. 2. So much great info thank you Jenny! I have a question about planting things close together. Iโ€™m in N. Texas and our humidity is bad as you know. Can you suggest perennials that can handle being close together that wonโ€™t get the fungus and the powdery mildew etc. I struggle with this so much ๐Ÿฆ‹

  3. Hi there Ginny: Called Creekside in hope of ordering dogwood shrubs but they were not in stock, as of yet anyway. I have a Japanese Maple on the side of the house with an established root system and debating if I should have the tree moved now or wait until the spring. Probably does not matter, right? At least advise from one source. Thank you, for your video and reminder to take a deep breath and remember to enjoy this beautiful time of year. Have a great day!

  4. Jenny and Jerry, Thanks so much for meeting with us Saturday. Charlie and Sheila were so happy to meet you!

  5. And now we get to watch Jenny do the wasp/ hornet dance ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿผ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ™ƒ Hoping they donโ€™t get you ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ™ƒ

  6. My leaves just blow away, which I guess is a Blessing although I would like to use them as mulch.๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ™ƒ

  7. Beautiful words from a beautiful woman. Thanks for making todayโ€™s video! ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐ŸŒพ

  8. One thing am doing around this time that cost me nothing is pick up pinecones from the few pine trees in our area. Thank you for your tips see you next time.

  9. As leaves are falling in my Georgia landscape, I find myself hurriedly looking for my rake and blower! Thank you Jenny for this timely reminder to slow down and take in the beauty of Godโ€™s creationโ€ฆloved this video!โค

  10. Because of you, you helped my mom understand that what we should care about our roots and next year buds. Last year I bought a PW Elderberry Lemony lace. It was beautiful. I wanted to buy a few more. But they were 60.99 this year. Last year they were 39.99. I was able to get them in the cart sales this year. I showed here look at those buds and roots. That's what we need to look for. Saved over 1k this year on plants.

  11. That mountain getaway sounds nice! Those evergreens behind you were gorgeous. Here in the Pacific Northwest zone 8b it takes forever for annuals to get going in the summer, but the bacopas, calibrichoa, fuschias, and bubblegum petunias just donโ€™t quit until a really hard frost.

  12. Put some native coneflower and butterfly weed seeds in last month. That's when my state recommends. Hopefully I see something in the spring!

Also, thank you for mentioning the reptiles and amphibians in our gardens. I feel like people either don't consider them or are actively trying to remove them. Just sad.

  13. Great message & priceless TIPSโคcongrats to the newlyweds!๐Ÿ’ well deserve long weekend!! THANK YOU JENNY๐Ÿ๐ŸŒณ

  14. Great tips! I definitely listened to the planting tip this year. The end result was garden beds that were filled with pollinators. Since we had planted it with lots of plants it suppressed those weeds so when the plants were feeding the pollinators all we needed to do was supplement with water when it was dry.

  15. I just went outside to trim up some plants and decided to just blow the tree leaves out of the garden and everything looks just great again!! Easy peasy!!

  16. Lovely video, fun periodically seeing peeks of Brynna. Inspired by you and your mom I bought a leaf blower/mulcher last fall. Game changer, thank you for the tip!

  17. Couldnโ€™t agree with you more about transitioning into a season of rest, and our gardens reflecting that as well

  18. I love this video. Learning to plant more natives for my environment. Thanks for this informative video. Will u consider selling native plants in the future in ur nursery? Love ur beautiful garden.

  19. Great advice,Jenny. Especially to take a breather and enjoy fall. And the mountains in fall are my favorite!! Iโ€™m currently house cleaning after having our house fumigated. Oh my what a dusty mess! But if I donโ€™t take the time to enjoy my favorite time of year itโ€™ll be gone and weโ€™ll be back to summer. Happy trails everyone ๐Ÿ

  20. Great video as always!! I just put mulch down here in my zone 7B, and your recommendation is to put mulch down every 12-18 months. In the spring when I start planting again using a good compost to top dress is ok? Thanks!!

  21. Hi Jenny , who would think we would be blessed to hear such a motivational speaker in the garden! Thank you! ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

  22. I agree summer heat is the worse time to transplant. I transplanted some plants im the heat of summer here in Louisiana and almost everything I moved died..

    I learned a lesson there.

I agree Fall and Spring is best time ..

  23. Hi, Jenny ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ I did cut back my Summerific Hybiscus due to all the leaves were decimated by the Japanese Beetles ๐Ÿชฒ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก Iโ€™m hoping this is ok๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐ŸปHave a Blessed Day ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿถ

  24. Great tips, and I love your positive spirit! Love the great evergreen background! It has actually made my decision harder. I am more of a spruce girl due to the foliage, but three nurseries have told me (Illinois 5b) that spruce trees are now prone to disease and recommend green giant. Thank you again and back to research mode.

  25. Yep, thatโ€™s what I am looking forward to, a big pot of chilli and a iron skillet of good old southern cornbread! yum!

  26. SUCH HOOD ADVICE FROM YOU JENNY!! I AM NUMBER 4ON YOUR LIST I SO WORKED IN YARD PRUNING AND PLANTING GOR TO MULCH THIS WEEK COMING ON 3 months after a knee replacement I felt big pain everywhere but it was great to get my hands dirty again..we in pensacola fl still have some heat but low humidity..wonderful time of year and I know Iโ€™m outa shape from surgery and need to go slower so number 4 spoke to me big time!!! YOU ARE AN AWESOME GARDEN TEACHER THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU & Jerry share with us!!!โค
