One Yard Revolution: Keeping Compost Hot When It's Cold Outside

It’s getting cold outside, but I want my compost pile to stay hot. The longer I can keep the pile active, the better my chance of having finished compost in the spring. In this video, I talk about steps I’ve taken to keep my fall/winter compost pile cooking.

OYR is all about growing a lot of food on a little land using sustainable organic methods, while keeping costs and labor at a minimum. Emphasis is placed on improving soil quality with compost, mulch, and compost tea. No store-bought fertilizers, soil amendments, pesticides, compost activators, etc. are used.
