Be proud of what you have accomplished in such a short time. The garden is always in transformation, adding and subtracting. Always enjoy watching your videos.
I love lance 😂
Lance is such a nice fit to the garden. You're making great progress, Janey. You've made such nice progress with making your home look so nice.
Could you get arches for the other two path ways? I think that would look lovely
a few more owls may work
Hi Janie. I was looking at some of your older videos and came across a “plant swap” with Hooked and Rooted. She sent you a Nureum Japanese maple? I was wondering how it’s f D ping. Or did you leave it at the other house?
Looks so beautiful! Love seeing the transformation. Thank you for taking us along!
Janey .. you’re simply Amazing !!! 🌸🍃 You’ve done so much in such little time and you’re use of space is Fantastic and Beautiful !! I look forward to each of your videos as I have my morning coffee. They provide me with so many new ideas and they always bring a Happy start to my day. Thank you !!! 🪴💞🍃
French Marigolds (Tagetes patula) produce chemicals that kill soil nematodes and repel whitefly. Avoid planting them near beans. Mexican Marigolds (T. minuta) have the same effect, and may repel rabbits.
Oh yes, marigolds are drought tolerant.
You’ve accomplished a lot in two months! I so enjoy watching you transform this property. You’ve got great vision ❤.
Janey, that could be a ground hog.
You may want to consider a Jack Russell terrier or a corgi and a boundary fence / collar system. That would discourage your critters. Keep us posted.
Everything is coming along and looking great! Way to go Janey you are doing amazing! Have a safe flight 😊
The fun part of gardening is the challenge and seeing the progress. Great work in 2 months!
Great video Janey. Safe travels.
You aren’t concerned about rodents getting into your house from the espalier, now that you are in the country?
Dinosaur kale is a perfect choice because it has far fewer oxalates!
Have you considered putting a Crepe Myrtle tree somewhere like at your previous house? That was always so pretty and would give you a shade bed underneath eventually.
Have a fun trip. Looking forward to seeing how it goes!
It would be pretty to repeat a jasmine espalier on the side of your office, on the side with the lower raised garden beds (the silver ones). It would bring some elegance to that area.
It’s looking so beautiful, you are such an amazingly talented gardener and I’m so thankful for all of the content you bring to us all. Safe travels to Virginia, can’t wait to see your videos with Proven Winners.
Janey, I found you when you had just barely started your channel, and I am in awe of how much you have learned (Master Gardener!), your move to the country offering you the opportunity to put all that knowledge to work on a much larger scale, becoming an affiliate of Proven Winners (because they know a winner when they see one), and how much your channel has grown in such an incredibly short time! It has been an absolute pleasure watching you grow and bloom, and I look forward to the many gardening adventures that lie ahead. You go girl! ❤💐
I plant my tulips six inches deep and sprinkle some bone meal on the soil and haven’t had any problems with the squirrels digging them up. I also cover up the area I dug with mulch so you cannot see where I dug as they are pretty smart!
I would love to see you grow a tower of jewels!! I can’t grow in my zone but think they are fascinating!!!!!!
I was overwhelmed for you when you moved to the new house but you’ve done so much, it’s looking great!
Janie you have done an amazing transfermation in a short time. I can't believe how much better the zig zag planter looks already. You are an inspiration to many of us gardeners.
You have gotten so much done in only 2 short months. Everything is looking great! Safe travels on your trip and have fun.
I know you’re out of town, but just saw a vid about using contractor paper instead of cardboard for no dig beds. Works like newspaper killing the grass and no harmful ink.
I'm not so sure that is squirrels making those big holes in the yard. You might have another critter?
You should repair the concrete and stain it with a pretty color.
Have a great trip Janey. Its amazing what a month can do in your garden. Its looking great !
Lance needs a buddy on the other side of your shed. ❤😂
You've accomplished a lot, Janey!
I understand why you're itching to plant your living walls so they can start growing, but honeysuckle will grow faster than the trees that Michael Glassman has suggested. Your fence is painted, and it's autumn, so it is time to plant trees/shrubs in front of it. (I'd probably remove both existing trees so you can have a beautiful, uninterrupted green wall along your driveway.) Also, I'd suggest planting any trees in the front planting bed so your view toward the street can begin to mature. It does look naked now that you've removed the mature flowering plum (not cherry) trees. They looked beautiful from a distance. I'd consider putting in new ones because I love the purple leaves.
You can plant honeysuckle any time of year, but trees will really appreciate being planted in autumn. By next year you'll know what other fruit trees to add to the orchard.😊
Every garden is a work in progress, (and yours is HUGE), so one step at a time.
The zigzag planter also looks great! Congratulations on a big job well done!😀
Have fun at the PW event.
How do you get to be involved with them?
I have a family nursery in WA state, zone 6 and would love to trial some plants.
