I don’t know what kind it is but moss is easy to transplant since they don’t have roots to worry about. If the new location has no moss in it that’s probably a sign that it’s not wet enough but it doesn’t hurt to try anyway

It looks like some kind of selaginella to me.

I’m assuming it’s an aquatic moss and it looks like what I have in my palladarium and I am trying to grow in a wabi kusa and terrarium.
If so, it likes to be wet or it to be humid but will grow terestrial. The stuff in the paladarium is growing very thick and spongy anywhere that it comes into contact with water and seems to be using the wicking of it to expand into dryer parts. It seems to grow quite fast tbh.
The stuff in the wabi kusa/ terrarium I have, sulked a bit but are starting to produce new greenery their still being kept quite humid though because I am trying to transition other aqautic plants on them also.

It also seems to like quite bright light.
