I had a huge zucchini harvest this year in Texas too! I was able to preserve all that we need just from 4 plants! But my plants didn't last near as long since it is Texas and we were fried/baked this summer with the extreme heat. I only got about half of my usual harvest season this year….
Amazing!!!❤❤❤
I could watch you for hours harvesting from your garden. It's so satisfying to see the fruit of one's hard work. God bless you and your family 🙏❤️👍😊
Are you going to can up your carrots?
I'm so proud of you for not giving up on the corn and now having a harvest of it. I have watched you struggle with it for a while.
Hey just a heads up your corn is planted too close together!!
The joy on your face when you taste the gifts from your garden brings me great joy. Thank you for sharing
Is that a massive huge tomato behind u at about 1.25/1.30 omgosh
I really enjoy your joy in harvesting
How wonderful you are sharing with your community. We donate to a couple of food pantries as well.
If you plant a large amount of pumpkins you can cut some of them off when they’re small baby pumpkins and still green and fry them just like you would squash. But you don’t have to cut the middle of them out. You can eat the middle with the seeds, they won’t be big at all. They taste really really good and they don’t taste like squash. I cut them round, then bread them and fry them. That’s something we’ve done in the south all of my life and I’m almost 67.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the new mic. Sound was much better this video.
Use some garden diatomaceous earth on the ground in your squash beds to get rid of your squash bugs. Otherwise they with go in the soil over the winter and come back out next year. Garden diatomaceous earth work great for me. Blessings ❤️🌺
How about climbing roses and you can gather the rose hips in the fall
Becky im so pleased for you i came around a little bit late especially when you started this one garden but i see the joy in your face ive had a rotten day today but the look on your face has put a really big smile on mine maybe just my rheumatoid arthritis has really been hurting me today and you get sick of taking pain killer's but as usual Becky you've cheered me up as usual so thanks once again
Couldn't help but think of you, Adaline Zook's pantry tour video she shows a canned pepper/onion mix and I thought you might try that for convenience as i know you love having sliced peppers around, I know I'm going too lol
Becky, I have the best luck on my arched trellis with Blue Lake Pole Beans (green beans). They taste great and look beautiful when they fill the trellis. I haver so much abundance from 8 plants (4 on each side) I can share with others. It just pushes my happy button when they meet in the middle!
Would it be smart to put the pole beans on the archways?
Fantastic garden produce; thanks for sharing! You did amazing with your first year gardens there! I’m sure the irrigation helped tremendously with the raised beds! Blessings to everyone 🤗💕🇨🇦
Good luck becky for next year with your beautiful garden you have done great.
Becky, how did ypu upgrade to the 5 tray freeze dryer? I cant find the option on their website to buy the tray insert with 5 trays
What an amazing harvest! You are truly blessed! 😍🙌🏻🍅
When you go to harvest your carrots, first push down on the root and then pull. It usually makes them easier to pull out.
Helpful hint next time you harvest your garlic. 😊 separate the cloves with paper shell intact. Place in a bowl and pour hot water over them just to cover. Wait 2 mins and then gently rub the cloves through your hands, and the peel just comes off. ❤
My neighbor used to say it was wise to plant tomatoes and basil together. Apparently the basil enhances the flavor of the tomatoes, and helps keep certain pests away.
BECKY! I love your new microphone!!!!
In Wisconsin we call this lil round peppers (cherry peppers)
Hi Becky. I've been watching your garden grow from the very beginning and I am truly in awe at how fantastic your garden did. Every time I watch you picking everything I have to pick my jaw off the floor. Just amazing! Thank you for sharing all this with us.
Can’t wait to see the carrots, onions, and pumpkins come out ❤ wonderful first year in your new garden space Becky. Thanks you for sharing your passion with us, it’s infectious and I know for me it’s inspiring me to get back at what I love.
Well done on a successful first year in your new garden Becky! That melon looked so delicious!❤
Wow what a success😀 Could you keep the seeds from the melone to keep and use for next year?
Hii, I'm from Italy and I wanted to tell you that you can actually eat the flower of the pumpkin. They're really delicious ❤
How about different grapes on the trellis. We had Concord 🍇 (great for grape jelly and juicing), and red & white grapes. Try making sangria or a wine.
I'm Australian of Lebanese background. We do stuffed zucchini with that Italian striped zucchini (we use the small to medium size), which is cooked in either a tomato broth OR a yoghurt 'broth'. It is really tasty, both ways.
So my food saver vacuum sealer has died (again). Could you possibly link your food saver in the show notes? On one of your videos you were talking about it and you seemed to like it. I preserve a lot food (from my garden, local orchards and the local butcher as well) for the winter months and in need of a durable food vacuum sealer. Thanks. As well, thanks for you inspiring videos. I always get the itch to go out in the garden after I watch one of your videos. Take care!
Trellis Ideas you asked for: from seed and sparrow big harvest video. Butternut squash, cucumbers, baby pumpkins, and many others in her video will give you ideas. The baby pumpkins were so beautiful.
Becky, we miss your chickens, show us more fun feeding the girls. we love them.
