I’m so stoked and proud. Full lawn reno, this is After Midnight pure kbg 10 days after throwing the seed down, caught in the morning dew. 4 days of sunshine high low 80’s here in zone 6b gonna help make this front lawn a reality for winter. I tilled, irrigation install, amended the soil, the works!

Too bad about all the debris – is that straw? As a suggestion, if you plan to do more lawn renovations, put down a growth fleece – does not cost much. If you keep that fleece off the ground, with like small sticks put into the ground in a regular pattern, the grass can germinate in peace, seeds will not be blown away by wind, the seeds will not get picked by birds, and debris from the trees lays on top an can easily be removed with a leaf blower without disturbing the new grass, and water will still get through.
And, if the ground was properly treated against weed, the growth fleece will also help with weed not moving in, while the lawn develops.
Then simply remove it, when the time comes to start cutting.
