Tropical gardens thrive in the warm summer months, but change is on the horizon as the days are getting shorter and the nights are cooler.

Heat loving tropical plants such as Bananas and Colocasia have slowed their growth. Autumnal winds have ripped through the tropical style garden, shredding large leaves and blowing over tropical plants that have grown tall this the season. Cooler temperatures are triggering the development of fiery orange autumn colours in the canopy of our tropical garden.

Now is the perfect time to enjoy the fullness of your tropical garden before the cooler weather of winter arrives. It’s also a great time to start planning for the garden jobs that will need doing over the coming weeks. Late autumn and winter is a time where jobs are plenty in a tropical style garden.
