  1. I live near the IL/WI state line but lived in Chicago for a few years. I am just getting into gardening and think container gardening would be something I can “do” given my age and time constraints. I recently found your channel and have enjoyed watching many of your videos and just love your garden. Such an oasis of beauty! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and gardening journey.

  2. Looks lovely to me. I use tomato cages to corral my dahlias. I found some iron outdoor end tables and removed the glass to corral my peonies. I'm also on the hunt for autumn flowers for a few contains. I worked in a local garden center that sold millet one yr, it didn't sell well, but man was it wonderful, I'm always on the look out for that.

  3. I'm in NW Indiana and my herbs did not do great this year either. Some years are just better than others and I think it has a lot to do with the super hot weather we've had. I save my zinnia seeds too – even from bouquets. I just wait until I'm getting ready to toss the flowers, snap the bloom off and put it in a paper bag to finish drying. Mid winter I go through the bags and pull the seeds then. Thanks for sharing your always lovely garden!

  4. Beautiful flowers Bethany. In my garden I’m down to sun flowers, calendula, marigolds and dahlia’s that are hanging in there. I pulled my zinnia out a few weeks ago due to powdery mildew. Next year I need to be more prepared for the powdery mildew and try to control it. But your flowers are still looking amazing!

  5. My herbs didn't do great this year and my petunias are looking so sad! I'm starting to pull things out. I am definitely entering fall mode because where a month ago it would have made me sad, now I am excited to wind down for hibernation season. (I love winter). Thanks for the tour!
