  1. I have a great list now of what I'll be looking for in the nurseries, garden centers, etc. I love all the new backyard plants and shrubs!!!

  2. I don’t mind the mess either,it takes time to transform a garden.I just wanted to make a suggestion. it might be nice to have a fountain to add some water sound!Have fu. With your new space!😊

  3. I think it’s a good idea to remove the 3 pine trees 🌲 in the back of the side yard by removing them would give you a bit more space to plant more plants. I also think it’s a better idea to move the grill against the fence once the pines are removed, that would allow you to plant a beautiful vine against the wall where the grill is currently. 😊These are my thoughts and ideas for you. Take Care I love watching your YouTube Videos you inspire to get out in the garden.🪴

  4. Hi Linda, I really liked the black metal plant stand, do you have the link to purchase? Btw your garden looks amazing

  5. YAY for the Forever Goldie!!!!! It will be gorgeous and provide brightness and contrast to the area! ❤

  6. I know it is probably somewhere but I can’t find the color of blue gray on the wood trim on the outside of your house. Could you please tell me? I would appreciate it so much because I just love it.
    Thank you in advance

  7. Great content. It keeps looking better and better. When I am working on a project things look messy until I am done. It is just the way it is in gardening/landscaping. It does not bother me because I keep in mind the result I will have. I paint my pots black as they then disappear and the plants shine. I like the idea of planting the golden arborvitae against the brick wall-great texture and color. Please let us know what that unique critter is on your chair that Stewart captured on camera. I am really looking forward to the plant profile video and hope you will do one for the front garden also. Love your vlog.

  8. Great video. Like you, I would be so happy puttering around your back garden. That's my kind of place!
Yes to the gold arborvitaes on each side of the garage door. Perfect to brighten and soften. I'm not so sure about the oakleaf hydrangea there. Like mine, it's an older variety that grows gangly, so I'll be watching to learn what you do with it to keep it attractive and under control.
Clean up…at one time I might have cleaned it all up and kept it tidy, but with age and experience I've learned to just do it in bits and pieces as I work on a small area at a time.

  9. Whichever plants you’re thinking about flanking the garage door, is it possible to trim branches from other trees that might block more sunshine to one side of the garage door over the other? Otherwise, the shadier side will likely be smaller and they won’t look balanced.

  10. Linda – Who needs a garden book to look to for inspiration. All I have to go is watch your channel and immediately inspiration hits and I am ready to run out to my backyard and start digging. Thanks so much

  11. Boy oh boy. So much to think about. I have rooted some coulis and plan on planting it in my fall containers. Thanks again for inspiring me. ❤

  12. OMG no oven cleaner!!!! I don’t know who started that, but it’s meant to be used inside an oven and then wiped off. It will soak into wood and will never come out. They make paint stripper that is safe. Please use that.

  13. HI Linda, your back yard looks amazing!! I like to mention at times everything is blurry , does Stewart need a new camera??

  14. I think you’re right that those golden arbs will brighten up that space in front of the garage. Just sitting it there was so impactful. – I also have intentional messes to avoid double work and conserve energy.

  15. The plant next to the Parfum d'Ethiopian artemisia is White Sagebrush (Artemisia Ludoviciana). Get small yellow flowers, is very fragrant and is deer resistant. The leaves are good for stomach issues.
