Great video! Does fairy lights do okay in deep shade and still have that fall color?!
I had a Sango-kaku die of pseudomonas syringae (lilac blight). Noticed it early the first year and tried regular copper sprays / pruning out the disease. After its first winter most the stems were black.
Should also mention I have an old lilac on the property that has had the disease in the past. It’s a vector, but I don’t want to get rid of it.
I know coral barks are very susceptible, but will I meet the same fate if I try to plant another variety of Japanese maple? Really want a JM but don’t want to be battling an uphill battle against this disease
