Soil knives, also known as hori horis, are workhorse garden tools. I use mine to dig, plant, cut, weed, open bags and fend off ninja attacks. There are a ton of soil knives out there and I’ve tried many of them, but I go back to this one with a plastic handle with a hand guard. #shorts

This is the Deluxe Soil Knife by A.M. Leonard. I get it in orange but you can occasionally find it in pink as well. As long as you don’t lose it (the orange handle helps with that), it should last you a lifetime.

You can pick it up here with free shipping for $33: https://rstyle.me/cz-n/g4q3jxdtd2p

Buy direct from A.M. Leonard (shipping cost may be worth if it you’re buying additional items) for $23 + shipping: https://www.amleo.com/leonard-deluxe-stainless-steel-soil-knife/p/4752

  1. I just bought the soil knife and double sheath so that I can keep my Felcos on me too! Thank you for the recommendation Erin!!!

  2. I love those! I’ve been using those for years. I have 2, because you always seem to forget where one is, and then it magically appears. Oh, right, there you are, ha!

  3. I just have the Fiskar's hori-hori. I use it all day, every day! Measuring for spacing, weeding, dividing, transplanting, harvesting, opening bags, cutting ties, sometimes even pruning or hammering stakes lol!
