Choosing the right material for your raised bed can make or break your raised bed garden design It is also one of the key investments that you will make in your raised bed garden You want your raised bed garden to endure the elements of nature and also look pleasing When I initially designed my raised bed garden I chose cedar wood for the material And the cedar wood is a natural wood that can withstand water humidity and sunlight very well And these beds take up less space and it’s easy to attach drip irrigation or a trellis structure to this kind of wooden material However the downside is that these beds won’t last forever and you’ll end up replacing them every five years or so So when we designed our raised bed garden in 2019 we went with a more involved design and setup of our raised beds
