The trick to this is make a boarder of some sort. If you put a boarder around chaos it looks more comforting and intentional.

I know this lady! She’s on the board for the dog park and I take care of their pollinator garden. She’s been helping me id some of the invasives that need to be removed and gave me some natives to replace them with. She knows a lot about native plant gardening.
Lawns are corny as fuck. Talk about a giant waste of space that drains resources for zero reason. Good for her.

I mow barely once a month and don’t use weed control. A simple root fork and some edging and my lawn is fine. My boomer neighbor used to keep dropping me hints about trugreen. Nah, I’ll pass. My kids play in the lawn almost daily

I grew up in a neighborhood w no HOA and the corner house owner had her whole front yard like this, she was a hippie and ahe was AWESOME! the things i learned from her have carried over into adulthood and i hope to have a similar environment for my kids. i learned to appreciate bugs and wild life from her!!!
