As you can see, I’ve began some carving on the flat chops and that work will continue next year using my dremel and mini chainsaw. I’ll eventually burn inside the hollows or use wood stain after impregnating the exposed wood with superglue unless anyone else has any suggestions to preserve deadwood like this?
The pot is a drawing of something similar to the largest pot I have. Might make a big concrete one though.

Wow… and by contrast I found a privet growing in a nook in a maple tree and I’ve plopped it in a little pot and it is about 3 inches long, haha
