I’ve pulled it up, sprayed it, mowed it down, I can’t get rid of it. It’s taking over my yard and trying to find its way into my garden! What is it and how do I kill it???

You have to pull it out from the roots. Some weedy plants (mint included) can die and then come back if it has an established root system. Once you take out the roots it can’t come back

Wavyleaf basketgrass? Definitely some sort of invasive grass

Wavy Basket grass, Oplismenus hirtellus. It’s actually native to the Southeastern U.S. I personally love it as it grows in the shade in my Florida yard where nothing else will. My only complaint is that it goes dormant in Winter. One’s man’s weed is another man’s treasure. Lol! It’s very hard to get rid of

Consider it a blessing, one of the only ways to get a good zero maintenance lawns here in Florida 😂. Only con is the winter dormancy

On the plus side you’ll never have to mow this either & doesn’t mind foot traffic.

    I’d kill for this

Why are you so mad about a native plant providing green ground cover that doesn’t get too tall? America is weird.

Are you a boomer by chance? Sounds like you enjoy working against nature

Consider using a rhizome barrier to keep it from encroaching into your garden. You can buy it online or at some garden centers that sell bamboo
