Ripped out the base of some large monstera roots to hopefully grow a new plant. I really didn’t think this would work especially with how dry and seemingly dead the stem was since it was under soil. BUT LO AND BEHOLD 4 months later over the course of winter and completely forgetting about it because I thought it was a lost cause. New growth!!!!! Spring is truly here :’) don’t give up hope!!!

Thanks to ppl who commented originally and encouraged me. The bigger root would have likely survived too but I didn’t have a container or enough dirt to keep it covered and drained well enough so that ones gone rip.
