I have this orchid growing at work and I’ve been watching it for a year. I repotted it and regularly water and fertilize it. New roots have appeared below and new leaves are actively growing. I really hope to see it bloom. Have you seen such cases before? Any prognosis, opinions, advice?

The leaves halfway up are actually a new plant – you could cut it free and pot up, if you like!
Looks pretty happy otherwise – sometimes they can take a while to bloom, but when they do it usually lasts a while too!
Mother plant looks a bit dehydrated – floppy leaves, ridges. Two causes of dehydration: 1. underwatering or 2. loss of roots due to rot or other causes.
I’d take the keiki off and pot it up separately. It is taking water and nutrients from the mother plant.
I’d take a look at the roots – if your liner is clear, that will be pretty easy – just lift it up and look through.

I’d go a bit further personally and unpot the mother plant to check it hasn’t got a plug in the centre of the roots (I know I sound like a broken record always posting this but so many Phals have them when they’ve not been repotted, and it can be a cause of root or stem rot). xx
