I’ve been walking past this guy for a couple weeks on the way to the store. I tried googling it to no avail. It’s in a ditchbank off the side of a road in north western Kentucky about 20 miles out from the Ohio River. It’s right next to a soybean field. Can’t really get close enough to touch without going through a drainage ditch but it’s abo7t 3-4ft Tall and the “fruit” are maybe 4 in long.

    Milkweed

Edit to add: It looks like it may be missing some leaves due to monarch caterpillar munching.
