My neighbor has a plant growing over our fence into our backyard. That looks like it bears some kind of berries. In my state we are allowed to cut it down if it hangs over into our yard but before I do anything, I want to make sure it’s not poisonous. I tried to take a photo with my iPhone, but the camera did not identify the plant. We are in Ohio.

It’s pokeweed it’s poisonous
Pokeweed, Phytolacca americana. The berries are toxic. If you have pets or small children you should cut them off. Otherwise it is a native plant and birds enjoy the berries.

Every part of that plant is poisonous. The roots especially so
