When we first moved in 2.5 summers ago the only plants were a few daylilies and a sad boxwood. Since then every summer I’ve done a little more.
The first photo is after the first summer. We moved in September so I only really set up a few beds but didn’t plant anything. Last summer I did the patio and lots of planting, and this year the shed.
Next year will be a patio on the opposite side of the plastic shed that we’ll move the canopy to. We’re giving away the plastic shed and most of that area will be a shade garden.

Looks good. You can definitely tell the difference between winter vs spring/summer though.
Wonderful! Did you bring in turf or grow the grass from seed?
