I'd bet the GMO corn was drier less moisture in it

The sounds of the owls! Love them, after hurricane Laura I haven't heard many. I heard one a few weeks ago and was happy they are returning!
We put up solar animals with glowing eyes at night and theses have kept the deer away.
My elderly family members when growing up use to plant : one for me, one for the animals when gardening. Whatever wasn’t harvested was left for the wildlife. I washed dishes watching the wildlife eat in the leftover gardens. I had move further north and found farms where they planted a field for the wildlife and the harvesting was of exceptional wildlife.
I don't think that corn is GMO. There are no GMO seeds that are sold on the consumer Market. It may be treated with all sorts of stuff but not GMO.
We’ve a small farm and we feed the deer every evening. We have a doe that has twin and has had for several years. We love our wildlife. Deer, bobcat,fox, turkeyand plenty of birds.
We have deer running around all over our place, 😂sometimes I will be busy working outside and I spook the deer because I didn’t notice them and they spook me by running and jumping! We had a lot of corn get blown down my husband said the coyotes were coming in our garden at night and eating it, he’s like Danny, in that he pays attention to the dropping on the ground, I wouldn’t thought of them eating corn but they are over populated here and those Thieving coyotes will get take anything they can. My Mom & stepdad play a radio in their garden to keep the deers out, it seems to work, without hurting them. I enjoy y’all’s videos so much 😊❤beautiful shot at the end with the deer.

We have so many deer here in our community (HOA) that they lay on our front lawn like lawn ornaments!!! They’ve eaten a lot of our bushes around our the house. Oh well, what can you do? I gave up!😂
GMO/Hybrid corn has as low as 3.5% protein while the heirloom corn like Danny Corn or Reids Yellow Dent have 9% and the red/blue/purple get upwards of 12-15%. The deer can taste the difference.

In my neck of Washinton States hinterlands our old farm land at times fielded over 100 ELK of three different herds and we fed during calving season when cows seperated from main herds to birth, and if a severe winter we feed timothy and alfalfa plus cracked corn and some bulk oak feed.

URGENT please any advice : Hey there I know you have a lot of comments and people to answer things to do but I’m in tears right now and need help I need to know what I can do for my plants they been sprayed with pesticides. The bug guy came to spray for roaches and sprayed out side and I told them multiple times to not get the plants and the first thing she does is spray them . New seedlings brand new carrots and beets . My established oregano and mint What should I do ? I don’t know

heaven to get something to eat so freely for them. Eating the GMO was a last resort lol
I just can't blame them. They know what is the best and what isn't.

Trapping is self defence as far as I am concerned. I keep chickens and everything wants to eat chicken.
I have at least two raccoons living on my property right now. I also have several feral cats.
I have collected about half a dozen Havaheart Box traps. As soon as winter gets here and the fur is at its best I hope to trap those raccoons and make throw rugs out of them.
Raccoons carry diseases such as distemper, rabies and toxiplasmosis.
An old trapper told me that Apple's are the best coon bait. Fish heads will work too but will catch opposums and house cats too.
Traps work 24/7 even while I sleep.

Animal’s definitely know. Fred Bear thought they could feel the stare from people looking at them. How many times have you had a deer walking by and it immediately looks right at you for no reason when you look at it. Happens a lot.

Hi Danny and Wanda, have an unusual question you might be able to answer…. I planted 2 dozen Georgia Jet slips this year. Unfortunately, they were attacked by beetles, and then afterward never really grew more than being large slips. Perhaps the soil wasn't tilled enough. Anyway, I'd like to dig them up before frost and overwinter them to try again in raised beds next year. Can it be done? Do I plant them all in one big pot and keep trimming them back until spring? I'd hate to have to buy them again. I'm worried my house will be overtaken by vines if I bring them in! Thank you in advance.
