oh boy im EXCITED to watch this one. your videos are stellar
I’m gonna be real I’ve so heard about this series but never really got into it (I also don’t think I have enough time to read or watch it now) maybe this vid can convince me tho haven’t been watching any anime or reading for a while. I don’t mind spoilers btw
I watched Monster after reading about how much of a masterpiece it is, but it was mad boring to the point that I decided to drop the anime and just fly through the manga
You come back 😁
Monster is a masterpiece Johan Liebert is my favorite 1# anime/manga villain’s
Man is back with a banger! Monster has gotta be the most intense series I've seen, genuinely amazing.
When I was teenager and dicovered manga I read Monster with fan-made Czech translation.
Master Keaton wasn't written by Urasawa but just the Art but you can't help see the DNA
Monsters Dub can be found on YouTube
there is a german bluray out now @alexenterprises1
I honestly loved the stuff in the town towards the end of monster. Especially with how it was a random drunk father who shot johan. Johan didn’t take him into account when holding the boy hostage, cause he didn’t take into account a parant protecting his child, something which literally made him (or was one of the biggest factors) contributing to him turning into a monster. I kinda ageee with u on the dude who just came out and got shot tho lol
I just started reading Monster and I’m surprised with how much I’m enjoying the story. I haven’t watched the video yet so I’m not sure how much it’ll spoil but even if I decide not to watch it yet, I’m definitely coming back to this once I’ve read the full manga.
Edit: okay yup definitely spoilers here. I’ll be back.
“Monster is genius.”
Great video. What else needs to be said? The only truth needed!
I do love a reminder that Urasawa is the goat mangaka, to me anyway
Great video, but too many ads. I cant stand it.
I'm so glad I finished reading it a week ago because now I can watch this video with no regrets
Monster came out this year in germany. This is heaven for me, bcs it's my nr.1 Anime
What is the OST @ minute 54:00?
From the Urasawa manga I've read I would say this:
-Monster is the best one, has a few problems but it's overall thematic quality is not compromised.
-20th Century Boys is the most volatile one. It has the best and the worst moments of all of his work, the ending is specially bad.
-Pluto is the most interesting one. The fact that he took an arc from Astro boy of all things and turned it into that level of a masterpiece is probably the best showing of his writing chops possible. You'll be incredibly surprised the moment you realize how hooked you are reading Astro boy.
-Billy Bat is the most consistent one. This one has a lot of really good moments and the least amount of "bad" moments in my opinion. Urasawa is such an incredible character writer that he made me care about Lee Harvey Oswald, that is talent. Years and years from now this might turn out to be my favorite one of his.
can you cover kaiji its the manga that explains feeling by drawings
Is there any future where you might take a look at the art evolution of Jing The King of Bandits by Yuichi Kumakura? Absolutley phenomenal growth as an artist and storyteller and more people should definitely know about him.
Thanks for the vid
