My aloe vera plant is apparently flowering this asparagus looking thing in the middle, my question is can I chop it and plant the stalk to grow another Aloe vera?

I am new to the plant/ gardening world, sorry if its a silly question

If you wait a bit you’ll get orange flowers on that asparagus looking thing. Keep it on

  2. That’s the flower spike, and as Steve has mentioned it will come into bloom soon. Flowers are unlikely to be pollinated inside, so will not produce seeds, and will not work the same way as a cutting because it has no means of growing root material.
