As my native garden has grown I’m finally at the point where I need to thin out some plants that have done really, really well. I started out with a tray of wild strawberry(fragaria virginiana) 3 years ago to use as ground cover in between my bigger plants. They have more than thrived in my yard and now I have dozens and dozens that I’m digging up to give away! So far I’ve got 50 to give away to a local pollinator group that holds native plant sales, and I’m also making posts to plant trading groups on Facebook to see if anyone else could use any =]

Omg I’m so glad to see that someone else uses strawberry plants as ground cover. They’re excellent
