I’m planning my mixed border with perennials and would like to mix in some dahlias that aren’t huge but still produce long enough stems for cutting. Rock Run Ashley and Cafe au lait are contenders for me but any other suggestions??

(Just for fun– Sweet Nathalie finally bloomed for me this week and I’m obsessed 😉)

Muchacha. It is compact, stays between 2-3 ft, it’s about a foot shorter than cafe au lait and it blooms early and abundantly.

Blue boy is my best vertically challenged. Very uniform blooms and a full plant. Mine blooms a beautiful purple (doesn’t look black like some Deep purple), but I have seen pictures that look more lavender

  3. Sweet Nathalie is sooo good!

    Totally tangerine,
    Jowey Winnie,
Hillcrest suffusion are good shorter plants in my experience!
