Hi everyone! My mom had to leave unexpectedly for a few weeks to take care of a sick family member. My dad did his best to take care of her plants while she was gone, but he often forgot to water them. I’m visiting for a bit and saw her African violets were looking sad. They’re her favorite plants and I want to try to do anything I can to save them before she returns. I’m unfamiliar with African violets, but I know they need special care. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Info:
They sit in a north facing window and get mostly indirect light. I don’t know when they typically get watered, but she does have two self watering pots. I think she wanted to plant them in the pots but never got around to it. I don’t think they have had any fertilizer (she’s had them for about a year). It’s a cold and dry climate here so the humidity is pretty low.

Your Dad is doing a great job
If anything put them on a saucer and put water in the saucer they will be good for a week or more, mom will do the fancy stuff later, she will be happy to have them alive and don’t worry about moving them either like I said mom will do that
    Best of luck
