Hi! I got this huge orchid at the grocery store, I know it may be a kind of harlequin, but there’s not many spots and it’s very ruffled/wavy on the petals, which made me get it in the first place. Is it some kind of hybrid?

Also in the rest of the pictures it has two leaves yellowing from the tip, is it shedding old leaves or is it some kind of sickness? There’s also these black spots on the top of the leaves that haven’t moved at all. Any idea what it may be?
The plant seems healthy overall with a few aerial roots too, and it’s roots are also ok. Gonna repot it soon.

If you are a beginner and purchased your orchid at a grocery store, more than likely it is of the genus Phalaenopsis. Most common orchids, especially Phalaenopsis, are hybrids and it is difficult or impossible to identify the name. This isn’t to say your orchid can’t be identified. In many cases, it might be possible to somewhat identify the parents of your orchid.
