Pictures 1 & 2 are orchid A, pictures 3 & 4 are orchid B. Love the cute round pseudobulbs on B!

If you are a beginner and purchased your orchid at a grocery store, more than likely it is of the genus Phalaenopsis. Most common orchids, especially Phalaenopsis, are hybrids and it is difficult or impossible to identify the name. This isn’t to say your orchid can’t be identified. In many cases, it might be possible to somewhat identify the parents of your orchid.

Not sure about the Oncidium (2nd orchid), but the 1st is a Zygopetalum. Likely a type of Rhein Clown variation.

Both like to be kept slightly moist, not really ever drying out. When the media gets to be about dry, water by heavily running water through it, or by letting it soak in a bowl for a little while (10-30 mins). With that chunk media you’ll likely have to do so more often, but the airflow is good for them.

They’re both pretty easy growers, and my zygos rebloom very regularly.

Enjoy! And enjoy their scents. Both are usually very fragrant!
