I’m a novice orchid grower, can someone with more experience please tell me what I’m looking at. Is this normal? Why does it look like the petals are trying to be the lip?
Dw it’s perfectly normal 😁 this orchid here is peloric, which means that it has a mutation that makes those petals extra fancy! I personally love peloric orchids, with my favourite one in my collection being Phal Joy Fairy Tale ‘670’ if you want another example of a peloric orchid 😊
