I made my first terrarium recently and sadly after a week a big portion of moss turned yellow, is there any way to make it regain its color? What should I do and what am I doing wrong?
IMO it looks a lil too wet. If the moss is crunchy and brown it’s too dry but if it’s growing but still wet it’s overwatered and you should let it air our a little. What kind of water do you use. Moss can also brown if non distilled or non tap water is used because they don’t like the hardness. Since the moss is green in the areas with shade it might be too dry or too much light or smth

It could be the pine cones. Pine needles at least contain a natural herbicide that kills off competing plants. You won’t see much growing under a pine tree unless someone regularly rakes up the needles.
