I hung out with someone last summer that collected all of the moisture from his roof and used it for his garden. Coolest person I’ve met so far. Long story, but he always thought outside the box.

Are those mini float switches in the red basin to close valve when water gets to a certain height? Sweet set up!

We set up something similar. Ended up having nasties in the barrel, couldn’t figure out exactly what it was, so we abandoned the rainwater collection part of it. But it’s a lot easier to partially fill the barrel from the hose every few days than to run buckets daily. The cups are really nice and relatively affordable from Amazon.
