The nursery said haworthia but my plant ID app said tiger aloe… I was going with haworthia until it flowered and now I’m unsure again! What do you guys think? I don’t think it’s tiger aloe, but maybe another aloe variety?

  1. Looks like what is commonly sold as Aloe Tiki Tahi, although I am not sure what the exact genetics are for this hybrid/cultivar.

    Definitely not a Haworthia though.

Gasteraloe just means cross between Gasteria and Aloe, which Aloe Tiki Tahi is most likely. Gasteraloes looks can vary wildly. Many times crosses between Aloe/Gasteria/Haworthia just list one of them by sellers or the primary species- very common. Gasteria, Aloe, and Haworthia are crossed so much sometimes specific lineage is hard (looking at flowers typically makes it easier). There are many hybrids that look very very similar.
