Studied a lot of little plants this week and painted silhouettes in black and white, focused on organic shapes and mark making. Pulled my watercolor palettes out after I felt comfortable with the plant shapes I had made. Then this pair came out, and I’m really happy where this is headed! Just a little weird with a side of movement. Was deep in the creative zone when I made this, everyone knows the sweet spot I’m talking about. It’s my favorite place.
