This week I wanted to show what we’re dealing with this year and give a tour of my garden before the growing season kicks off! As I’ve mentioned before, this is my 4th year gardening and I’m loving learning what works and doesn’t, and seeing what I can take into the following year!
I share my plans for the garden this year and I’m excited to get growing!
What are you going to be growing this year?

Can’t wait to see how it all turns out during the summer
I enjoy seeing it before too.🌺
Daffs really are the friendliest flowers!
I’ve been watching Dainty Diaries for a while and Catherine mentioned your channel. Just watched and loved it. Now I have Catherine’s and yours to enjoy! Thank you Karen!
Katherine sent me 🙂
Your garden is coming together great. It looked beautiful last year. Funny you call your mom Edward scissors hands🤣will watch through out season. take car and happy growing.
Hi Karen! Came by at Catherine's suggestion. I'm interested to see how all your proposed changes come out…I'll be watching to see what happens!!
Came from Dainty Diaries for another spot of green! Midwest US had 6" of snow this last week!
Dainty gave us your link. Loved the make up video and look forward to garden ones. Thanks
Do you mean your apple tree is self pollinating? You have a lot of pots planted and waiting for sunshine and warm weather to show their blooms. Did you know leeks freeze really well and you can slice them frozen to make your potato leek soup? Dice the potatoes in smaller cubes and it can be ready in 30 minutes. That is my go to. I always test a few seeds before I throw them away. Soak over night in a tiny bit of water then place on a tissue paper or paper towel. You should know if they are viable in a few days. Thanks to Catherine for her recommendation to your channel. Your yard will be lovely in the spring.
Hello from North Carolina
So this is Catherine’s gardening pal. Greetings from Kansas City. Thank you for the tour of your garden.
Hi Karen, thanks to your pal Catherine from DD, she mentioned your site. I live in the United states, Portland Oregon specifically. Cold here, maybe some snow this week. Signs of spring all the same. Thanks for the inspiration!
I’ve been watching your videos this afternoon since Catherine mentioned you also had a channel. I love gardening even though I’m not very good at it. I’m in south central Missouri in the states. Looking forward to more videos.
I have a 3” binder full of seeds! 😬🤣
Hi Karen Just come over from Catherine's channel. I had no idea you also had a channel. Shall now be following you also. XX
So happy that you have started your gardening videos again!

Can I ask what you use to mulch? Very new to this!
Hello Karen, I've just subscribed. I found out about you from Catherine's channel. Am really looking forward to seeing your garden journey through the year 🤗. Thank you!
Good evening Ms. Catherine mentioned you so 😊 I took look thank you 😊 will be watching more
HI Karen, I have just watched your channel for the first time, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I live in New Zealand, and we have recently had the most horrendous cyclone rip through much of the country. As you can appreciate my garden is in a rather sad state at the moment, but I choose to see it is an opportunity to do a complete makeover. I think your makeup looks lovely.
Lovely tour. Great spring feeling 🌻
Hi Karen Was watching Dainty and she gave us your link I have just subscribed to your channel looking forward to your gardening videos
Hello Karen!! I am an AVID Dainty follower. I looked in on you last year just about the time your garden video's ended. I am excited to go on the gardening journey with you! I have said to Catherine I love how "real" she is…. not perfect gardens or flowers, just real girlies, who love plants and gardening (like me). So happy you're back!
I'm here because of Catherine too! Hello Karen x
I never throw seeds away. I am a seed hoarder though. I have very good luck I guess, many are many years old, and they still grow.
Dainty send me!! Happy to be here.💜
Just watching Catherine on the TV and it is lovely to see you in a large segment. Adorable giggles. I am subscribing NOW
Hi, I was sent to you by Katherine! Love your videos so far! 😀
So lovely to see your garden! I've heard so much about you from Catherine at Dainty Diaries and I feel like I know you already! Just subscribed 🙂
Im currently growing seeds as old as 2004,veg and flowers, germination rate excellent on most, in fact ive not sowed anything later than 2020. Its slways worth a try , seeds are so expensive. My indoir window cills and shelves are bursting with leeks, tomatoes onions beans, peas sunflowers, chillies, peppers, broccoli, cabbage, sprouts, garzanzia, and more. With high inflation and frazy prices, I'd say give old seeds a go, if doesnt work use soul for something else, badil only thu g that ea old that didn't germinate. Csme over from daintys channel. Loving yoyr channel already 😊
What about planting a beautiful tree in the corner where the vegetable beds are? Would look amazing and provide some shade.
I love the fleece. I’ve noticed it in newer videos and absolutely loved it. It’s perfect for in the garden on cooler days, then just pop it in the washer. I have a grey and light pink similar but not as thick. I’d love to find one like yours. It would be a bit warmer.
Do you keep a garden journal? If so will you share it with us. I have one but it’s only the info from the little tag that comes in the pot. I do have a good plant book with everything you need to know on flowers and plants. I do want to draw out my plots and where everything is and put plants will similar plants as far as watering, color, height, width, etc.
