Please help me out with a little advice. I'm going for this look in my yard. But I don't understand something. I'm sure all these trees are going to outgrow these tight spaces. What do these types of gardeners do… Prune for the space, move the plants once they outgrow the area?

Two of my favorite Japanese maples are Purple Ghost and Beni Maiko. Purple Ghost gives a scarlet red display of the big leaves in the spring, then turns into full green in the summer, then turns back to red for the fall display. Beni Maiko also gives scarlet red display in spring, but the leave are tiny in spring. Then it turns into beautiful pinkish/green in mid spring and fades into green in summer, before finally turning orange/red in fall.

That’s one over planted mess. Disaster when things grow and mature really. And trees are expensive to remove. Buy a measuring tape for planting.
