Hope this is allowed here. First time caller, long time listener. I’m building up a 4 plant automated ebb and flow hydroponic set up, thought I’d share my ramblings whilst piecing this together.
It’s been about 2 years in the making. After a year hiatus, R&D is progressing on the application, comms are 75% complete, hardware is about 50% done. I’m cautiously optimistic that trials will be start in early 2024.
Long story short, it’s dotnet app deployed on rpi3, MariaDB and Mosquitto broker on a rpi4, mqtt with ssl talking to 4 esp32s that do all the real life interfacing to pumps and control the flow. Multi language support for English, French, Spanish and Ukrainian, more to follow.
It will be open source and freely available. For you devs out there, your patience is appreciated while I muck about in Github and trying to sort it out.
