Hi there! Is anyone familiar with what this could be? It was a volunteer in my front garden. Either came in the fir bark or the seed was dropped by a passerby. It’s doing great in my 10B east facing garden in San Francisco.

G*lens says either cucurbit or melon. (Duh!) It has smooth sides, with the most slightest undulations. Also once ID’d, when should I cut it? It’s about 9” at its widest point now.

TIA for any input!

I have pumpkins that look like that, but the leaves are bigger. So maybe a smaller variety pumpkin?
