My notso happy curtsii is always dropping leaves, new and old no matter what I do… it never seems to like when I water it less/more, fertilize it, pull back from the windowsill/put in brighter sun, etc. How can I get her to at least stop dropping growth and tolerate me?
Lives in a bright SE facing windowsill and only gets 39-48% humidity. Only water when she goes bone dry (Ive tried watering more frequently and she’s not a fan) and roots seem okay, if not a tad bit dry. Only fertilize when i bother to remember.
Those with happy curtsii, pls, tell me ur secrets 😢
    Any tips appreciated, thank you!

Your plant looks overall healthy to me. I similarly have my large curtisii in a SE window. I would say the biggest factor that keeps mine happy is consistency. I water mine once a week pretty deeply and also only fertilize when I care to remember. In my experience they do not like to go too dry. When I moved apartments I did have a clump that died off but the majority of the plant recovered and continued growing just fine. Once you give the plant a consistent environment and watering routine that’s when it seems to start thriving. Some Hoya take longer than others to get comfortable in each persons home and it is different plants for different people.
