I gotta have a Hupp’s dwarf
I've been waiting for this video!
So excited for these releases. I made a promise not to buy anything for a while, so I'll have to stick to that if I want any chance of being able to buy 15 of the trees in the Mikawa family.
Munnkiwawa— looking forward to it!

Been watching various videos on Japanese maples to try and figure out what’s varieties are in my yard. Been here 6 years and I am third owner. House was built in 68 and apparently the original owner was a master gardener. In trying to learn about the various maples throughout the property I have fallen in love with the beauty…brings joy…I don’t like raking the leaves in the fall as there are quite a lot of deciduous trees and even with landscapers it’s hard to keep up with. I do enjoy the structure of the branches on the maples throughout the winter with snow on the limbs. Watching these videos makes me want to add more… but in my mind I am trying to think where I would plant and the area that I would like is shady. What dwarf varieties go good in shade?
