Why aren’t these glass panes transparent? They have a translucent white coating because when the sun is in view for most of the day (8+ hours), the heat would be too much for these plants. The white coating reflects some of the heat but also evenly distributes the light, which is perfect “bright indirect light” – great lighting for portraits too.
