    I just tried the net bags and broke off two of my cantaloupes because the bags don't allow enough slack for the stems. Way too much trouble.

    I like the first net bag you used, I've done it before with my seminole pumpkins. Easy to use, and not quite as stretchy as panty hose which in my experience doesn't support quite as well. But everyone else might have a different experience from my own. I would probably use the second net bag with larger fruit, but I love saving a dime whenever I can, so I prefer things I don't have to go out of my way to buy unless I need it.

    One of my sugar baby watermelon has dark spot on bottom.looks like blossom end rot that tomatoes sometimes get
