  1. We finally got a good rain today and it cooled down some.
I use a nozzle on the shower setting, and I water in the mornings. Do you think I should water in the evenings? It's cooler in the evenings than it is during the day, and the water would stay around longer than it would in the extreme heat of the day. It kinda would make sense, but I hadn't thought about it until now. I will try the blasting too.
I just planted some squash, cucumbers, and tomato seedlings. I hope they have time to produce. ❤😊😊❤

  2. I used to be able to water like that when I lived in California, that does not work here in Arizona.

  3. When temperatures are over 105* repeatedly the roots get steamed in potted plants. It’s very hard to find a balance with moisture. I used to think more water was the answer but that seemed to make it worse .

  4. I water like you do. I turn my hose on jet and water around the plant. I love watering. It’s so relaxing.

  5. I water every couple of days, but I water deep, my pots I water every day, but I'm definitely trying your method.

  6. Lol🤣. You actually had people comment on watering with a hose lol. I see these you tubers with a watering can after repotting and laugh. I think the women want to appear more feminine with a watering can vs. a hose their husbands would use🤣. Who knows but I have a lot of potted plants and the hose is the way to go!!! 😃😃😃. It faster. Imagine Robbie watering all those plants with a watering can??? She would’ve been watering til dawn😃😃😃.

  7. I’ve been wondering about your watering. My totes get very dry almost every day. I pretty much water the way you’re showing here. Sometimes with blasting like you’re doing and sometimes with the shower spray but leaving it there for a long time until the water soaks all the way down. And I’m having to do it every single day.

  8. Hi Robbie. I water in the early morning because it's easier for me. I blast also but because it gets more water on quickly 😅 Watched the nature video. Been doing nature for most of my years. Thanks Robbie. Love your videos.

  9. Robbie, what do you do with the damn deer ?
Last year was great, this year the deer have been horrible! I came out and the baby deer was tearing off my TUEL and eating the plants ! 😳🤦🏼‍♀️! God Bless you 🙏🏼💕😇

  10. My yellow zucchini failed in the heat as well. Don’t think I’ll plant them again. Grey zucchini was wonderful even in the plus 100° temps.

  11. We finally got rain, how much I not sure. I use the shower on my nozzle, and I water every other day if in hundreds temperature. If I'm above 110, I water once or twice a day. I check my pot and totes. What get is humidity and sometime dryness
    which doesn't help watering.

  12. Watering totes and pots is difficult to say how…it depends on the weather, the environment around the plant, the plant itself. It confuses me so much. I can say that the layering method helps me so much… I water with a watering can cause I don't have so many plants like your gardens and it takes me only ten to fifteen minutes. I always water 6 in the morning.
And yes Robbie ❣️ you are so right. Being a part of the nature is sooo healthy for our soul. It's a free phycological therapy ❤️ Thank you so much for this video ❗ I was wondering how you water all these plants and they are so green and alive ❤️❤️❤️

  13. Im so glad I saw this today, because I did just this earlier, before I saw this video, and I was feeling kinda guilty for my , what I thought was laziness. I am happy to know that what I did was a good thing.

  14. I see alot of water waste you must be on a private well? Cause most municipalities would jack up our water bill so high it would not be worth the cost!

  15. Does anyone know about chlorine added to tap water and the chlorine harming the earth worms and other microbes? I have read that it harms them, and I that it defeats the purpose of worm tea. We have a lot of chlorine in our water here in north metro Atlanta. I don’t know if this true. I have been using rain water and water left out in buckets several days to water. This year we have had enough rain and don’t have to worry about excessive heat and drought.

  16. If I blast the water it'll displace the dry leaves I use as mulch. I'll try digging a couple of holes into the mix or maybe water into a partialy buried tube with holes around the roots.

  17. Hi Robbie. I have a question? When I go to plant like pumpkin's, or zucchini, or squash and cucumbers. Do I make a mound then put the seed into the mound?

  18. I am so frustrated. I misunderstood a video of yours and I made billions of holes in the bottom of my containers and sides, so they would drain. So now when I water the plants don't get any. Now trying to plug them up. Learning experience. Have to pay better attention. I appreciate all you do. Thank you. This was my bad.

  19. Yes! Thank you, Robbie. I've been doing the "blast and drench" thing here in the desert of NM in my totes, AND going in a circle around the edge, making a trench. I lost so many new bushes/small trees until I started doing this. Now I have a better success rate. Thank you and Gary for all you do! Happy trails from Las Cruces, NM! bc

  20. Robbie blasting her plants i love it LOL💦 😂❤ i can see all the other prissy garden channels horrified watching . But hey look at Robbies EVER THRIVING ABUNDANT garden year after year proof is in the pudding baby!! ❤❤❤

  21. Thanks for the advice. I was struggling to keep everything productive in this intense heat. Watering in the evening has made a big difference.
