BTW I read the bitchbass guide, the right one I had put a lot of that horse hair looking green plant and I removed most of it and instead planted tufts today, now they can maybe grow to size, we shall see.
The first one I made had a LOT of degrading leaf matter, it grew slime on top and had no plants, I dumped it restarted and decided t make them both with the same 4 plants and same spring water. The window they are in only gets the morning sun between 10 and 11 and they are behind the pillar with a piece of clear plastic between them and the window so the suns not so harsh. There seems to be scuds,Nematodes, weird water spiders and a few almost caterpillar looking tiny guys. I have spring tails in my hydro tomatoe pots so I have added about 10 or so to each container to hopefully feed on on fungus or become food for the other creatures.
