I’ve been meaning to trim the spikes for a bit now since blooming stopped but I noticed what I think is a keiki? I trimmed back a bit regardless but any tips?

  1. Could be, or a rebloom. Good things either way!

I never trim my spikes if they’re still green for this very reason! I just harvested 3 keikies!

Really no need to trim a spike. It creates a wound that your plant will need to spend energy to heal. Even when the spikes are browning or “dying”, the plant is using it as a water and food source. It will shrivel and fall off on it’s own.
