With the fabric container, is that possible to do it and is the worms will come?? Do I need to do holes in the bottom of the fabric??
❤️😊👍
Thanks Robbie, my daughter and I are container gardening on the patio this Spring&Summer, we have planted seeds in plastic cups, some have already come up. I love to compost and going to try this.
How long does it take?
Do you have to bring in earth worms from somewhere? Thanks so much for all your tips! 😊🇨🇦
Does that concept work for flower beds ?
Robbie you are so awesome
I have a raised bed & will try your idea of composting in a pitcher. I put holes all over with my trusty soldering iron (thanks to you). Composting is the bomb! Show us Kitty whenever you can. She’s precious! Have a nice day & thanks for your information! Love it!!!! 4:06
Let me tell you miss Robbie, I live with my granddaughter in Georgia and she throw away everything and I go back and collect it pitchers ,pots, empty bottles she ask me why am I collecting trash I tell her Robbie has great ideas and I'm making what she makes for her garden and birds Made the solar fountains and chair garden compost in place whatever I see I have room for and Gary got me interested in bananas I have four plants lol I'm hooked and I just crave all your fantastic ideas .we senior adults need to keep busy doing things we like we can't always think of ideas ourselves but we have you to show us Thanks for sharing your gifts.with us all have a wonderful day and don't forget to eat what you grow
I love my pitchers thanks to u last year when u talked about them!. Glad u mentioned aphids and stuff
That's one of things that always worries me with using my own garden leaves and stuff as compose in place is stuff that has the white powdery mold or bugs like aphids. I just worry it'll speed to everything lol 😆 I'm in WA so everything goes to mold fast if given the opportunity. Anyway thanks for the great vid!🥰
Omg your dog at the end of the video is absolutely precious. Thanks for the info!
Hi robbie, just found your channel and have been binge watching.. just mind blown! I have a question, I live in Alberta and just now have a yard and trying to learn to garden. How do I take care of/ preserve my compost and continue to accumulate my own made compost in the winter months? Or is that even possible? Thanks so much for all your videos! ❤
@Robbie and Gary Gardening East hi, please can I ask am I right, did I see you put cooked food in your compost? I ask because I am predominately vegetarian. I make myself vegetable stews which I can have 3or 4 meals from. I often have a small amount left over and have we wondered if I could compost in my small compost container which I am thinking of turning into your suggested wormery. What do you think? Take care
I love this idea and made a pitcher worm bin/composter for each of my 4’x4’ raised beds and planted them this morning. Such a great idea – thanks for sharing! I am excited to see the results.
You're the best! Every time I watch one of your videos I have to tell you 🙂 I am going to do one or two hydroponic plants this year but I'm going back to composting in place even thought we moved back to an apartment. I can't wait to get it setup in the next couple weeks. I have it designed perfectly in my head. Of course I have to hide the containers since the apartment complex will complain about the plastic containers so we're going to make faux wooden planters 🙂 I'm going to get some of the things from my local buy nothing group and I've been saving all my cottage cheese and yogurt containers to start my seeds this week! I'm so excited!!
God bless you Robbie, praying for you and Kitty.
Great video..Thank you. I just subscribed too 😁👍
Will it be to hot for worms in 100 degree weather? I'm afraid they might die.
Thank you, thank you! To me, it seems pointless to spend a boatload of money on a garden… I love your ideas so much! One question if it's a raised bed that's enclosed. where do the worms come from?
You are very, very brilliant common sense so many people don’t have it. Thank you for sharing this implemented immediately cheers Florida.😎
I love your content. Always a new idea. I tried the pitchers but have the screw on tops. Decided to ditch the tops and put 1 gallon pots into the top of the pitchers instead. They fit perfectly. When I water the plant the pitcher gets watered. It's a win win since I'm trying to find room for more pots of flowers. Thanks for all the great ideas!
I can't tell from this video but are you burying the pitcher into soil or is it just in a corner of your bin/bed?
Fresh leaves or old fallen leaves??
I put 4 of these in my in ground garden today.. I hope it works the same
I’m afraid I put to many holes in the pitchers
Thank you for the video
like your idea to composting hsppy gardening stay safe and healthy
