Do you fill the water jugs before you add the soil? And how do you keep the milk jugs from floating up and keep the soil from clogging the holes in the jugs?
Good day. My question regarding your wicking tubs and their use in growing fruit trees long term. I have citrus trees, pomegranate, mulberry. Will they work as the plants will need the soils also. Is there an alternative wicking system for them?
Leon, Thank you so much for sharing your ideas over the years. Thought you might enjoy seeing what this lady in AR has done with your Wicking Beds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlxsapM_1ec
I don't see how the milk jugs are helping…except you use less soil…how do you get water into the wicking system? I am a greenhorn gardener and don't get it.
I am wondering how the roots would get air pruned in this set-up as they do in the 1st way I saw where you used 6" pipe with landscape fabric over it. I really enjoy watching your videos.
Thank you Leon, could you please do a self waterer when you have time? You are brilliant & explain everything clearly. Best wishes to you & yours from Uk.

I think you forgot the pipe for adding the water, but I get the point
I think you answered this in another video, but I just want to make sure. Can I use this method using a grow bag?
Haha I came back to check that I’m doing it right this year again
👍Genius Leon makes 👍genius reservoirs and excellent plan for tomatoes 👍
This is exactly what i was looking for! I am so happy to see this
So do you just start watering from the top and how much water do you put in?
Where is the fill tube,,,,, did you forget something?
This won't work. The jugs won't fill with water. Only the jug with the pvc pipe will fill.
