  1. I would love info on pruning fruit trees. I bought a nectarine tree about 3 years ago. No fruit yet but it’s growing.

  3. So understand. My dad passed away when it was time to plant. I had to help mom so I let my beds go to weed but I cut them down and use this year to refresh my beds. Might do a fall garden if it all works out

  4. Gary, I love this post – and in conjunction with Gail's GAWG video, really love the positivity of dealing with adversity in the garden. Kudos BTW Gail (2gals) for showing that video if you end up reading this for showing the incredible before and after the management of your garden. Truly inspiring for me! Managing even a small garden for most people is an overtime chore, but at least people are giving extra effort. You've inspired me to show imperfections. Sometimes I'm embarrassed as well to show my "horrible looking overgrown sections", but you help remind us, avid gardeners, we are all experiencing the same thing and it's perfectly normal. Thank you Gary!

  5. Great info Gary. I started topping for my age and physical condition and almost gave up but I learned to work early , rest often and CUT DOWN. Thanks for posting, was very timely. Havagudun sir.

  6. Wow. I get being burned out. As for the admitted shift away from organic, I now can't trust your success the same anymore. Disappointed.

  7. Make a list. Pick one thing – and focus on that one thing. When done – scrrrraaaaatch it off. Pat yourself on the back and, when ready, move to the the second thing. Yessir!

  8. Grow a smaller garden. One that you can handle and you will have less "burn out" — Ray Delbury Sussex County NJ
