This video was SOOOO helpful. Thank you for doing it!!
Do you have a video on saving seeds and how to find the seeds on candy onions or any onions. Mine are done and 3 went to flower ..and I want to save seeds. Thanks❤
I have lettuce growing under my pole beans that I have picked from since May and it still isn’t bitter. It’s a red oak leaf variety. My romaine bit the dust about 3 weeks ago but it lasted several months as well!
You didn't mention broccoli or cauliflower. Thoughts? I am going to try them for a fall harvest (broccolini instead of standard) – first frost avg, anytime after Oct 1 is possible. But last few years it's come much later. Gonna roll the dice and see what goes.

My goal is to grow carrots this fall. And some cucumbers to pickle. Maybe some peas (I’m the only one who will eat them in the family) and I never had fresh garden peas.
I started some dill and it is now about 8 inches tall. Where is the best place to plant dill. Total sun, some shade. I have never gotten dill to come back.
Are you familiar with Herrick Kimball? He has some interesting ideas about gardening. I love your ideas as well!
I have 40% shade cloth over my garden. Just planted green beans, carrots, turnips, spinach, lettuce, cucumbers, zucchini, crooked neck, basil in mostly GreenStalks. I have 12 of them.
You’ve definitely inspired me to just go for it. Over the last two weeks I have sewn almost every square inch of available space in my gardens. I can’t wait to see what I’m actually able to harvest.
Your video was so well-researched. I trust your expertise.
Here in Southern California it's impossible to figure out a schedule, the weather controllers delayed spring by two months this year, a@@holes.
SpaceX is all they care about, the whole state is trashed now after they droughted us out for well over a decade.
Gary thank you for teaching me how to grow potatoes in grow bags (10 gal.) I was amazed the size and the number I harvest. I did as u said water and fertilizer.
Ever think of adding sun screen over the tomatoes, seen left over cloth?
Awesome great gardening advice!
❤💬 thank you
I love your videos and learn a lot. Here in Florida 9b we are so hot and humid that I'm taking your ideas and postponing them a couple of weeks, and will use shade cloth. Mostly, I'm starting seeds indoors right now. So anxious for my Fall garden! 🙂 We don't get frost until January, so I'll have plenty of time.
My peppers are really struggling this year. The plants are small, still. I put row cover over them to keep them warm at night, but shaded from the intense afternoon sun. We have had a lot of rain and a cooler than usual start… but this is August. They should have gotten a growth spurt by now like my tomatoes and squash finally did. Very disappointing.
I may try another round of carrots and beets, plus add some parsnips. I may also plant some cabbages. Good to know we can still grow some herbs, too.
This year I had some volunteer parsley seeds come up from plants that were there two years ago. It's curley parsley, which I found I didn't use enough, so I didn't plant again, but they came up really full. However, the ones that self seeded in the sunflower row are still tiny.
What's so much fun is finding Parsley Caterpillars on my plants, which turn into Eastern Black Swallowtail Butterflies, one of my favorite butterflies! I have seen 6 Parsley Caterpillars, so far, and several Black Swallowtails. I even found a Monarch caterpillar munching on my Milkweed the other day…and I'd never seen one here before. So much fun watching out for nature in the garden and knowing I have the right habitat for them to flourish! 🦋🐞🐝
