Just finished my first paludarium, and i might have miscalculated the substrate’s height. Its partly in the water and is completely soaked. Wont the plants have too much water ?
Also can it work without sprintails ? I dont even know where to find these.

Springtails are not needed, but you can find them everywhere outside if you look, or buy them online. The saturated substrate will really become a problem. It’s gonna stink and fowl the water. I would tear it down and increase the height of the false bottom to save the plants
