It is my first year growing and got some tomatoes growing but still nothing to pick because of this weather
Also our 1st year growing, only got a few things in the greenhouse & pots. Concentrating on getting raised beds sorted for next year.
Beautiful plum tomatoes, Ivan.
My carrots failed within 2 days of heat. However the volunteer tomatoes are getting big. Little Gem lettuce appreciated being potted on and I picked a few pickling cucumbers. I sowed beans and sugar pumpkin and since I have old watermelon seeds, I sowed them, too. I have at least 100 days before frost so I'll take the chance.
I'm a new Gardener Luv watching your Channel, Good down to earth easy Ideas.😀
Those tomatoes look so nice. I sown some of those carrots at the weekend what you did Nantes 2 are they? We go through a lot of carrots so hopefully we'll have them on our Christmas dinner lol, the others in my containers are growing nice & steady, had to put a higher netting on the broccoli didn't realise how tall it gets. Looking forward to hearing what to sow in August, having said that I'll have to probably juggle things around a bit …
Thanks for the update Ivan. I've just started to harvest, tumbling tom and sun gold tomatoes. Thanks for sharing.
I use my Boyfriends Garden Isle Of Wight as I don't have one. I been growing Cherry toms,Baby Carrots, Shallots , bell peppers. Chilli Peppers, Variety Of herbs ,Pat choy that Didn't do that well, and tried some Purple sprouting Broccoli but the Cabbage whites decimated them so pulled them. I just planted some charlotte Potatoes in tubs and all my other veg planted in tubs too. I'm also gonna grow some Onions from sets. Main reason I started Gardening was to help my Mental Health and it really does Help.I really don't mind if I have failures I'ts just being in the garden for Me.Thanks for all your Knowledge.🍅🍅🥕🥕🌶🌶
Well I started the year out with all the gear but no idea. I can honestly say I'm really looking forward to next year. I've kept a diary which will come in handy next year. Had my greenhouse beginning of July and already can see what works and what doesn't work so well. But if it wasn't for these vlogs I would still be clueless. Thank you.
I've been growing tomatoes for over 35 years and no year is the same. You always get some crops so never give up is a good motto.
A very true and reassuring message, thanks Ivan. The weather is certainly frustrating, currently torrentially raining here yet again. One slight positive is that I've not had to water for 6 weeks lol. I've grown carrots for the first time and they're a great success which I wasn't expecting. I have tomatoes but none are ripe yet. Sunflowers are tall and French beans are doing great. Squash and corn growing well so far I think too.
Marvellous video , think I do actually have my first courgette starting to grow . So hard to be patient lol
I've just enjoyed a delicious meal of homegrown potatoes, broccoli and beans. Better than any you could buy. Thrilled doesn't come close!
if you can keep planting and growing
Just so great to see you getting a harvest from so many things.
I have a small but productive veg patch and look forward to your channel updates and hints and tips got small bowls from wilkos for a crop of radishes 👍
All my tomatoes are outside. But everytime I get one just ripening it splits open. Due to this weather. Shall I take them off and ripen in a box do you think? Otherwise I think I'm going to loose all off them. What do you advise?
Getting close to 8 K👏👏👏
Thanks Ivan, it's been absolutely hammering down with rain here but my plants don't seem to be all that bothered (for now). At least they got watered last week when I was away, I'd looked at the weather forecast before I went and thought that I wouldn't bother rigging up a 'drip feed' as it didn't need it. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Ive managed to harvest 3 cucumbers some peas lettuce and soon hopefully tomatoes
Greetings Ivan. Just a line to express my appreciation for your posts. I really enjoy your positive "can -do/have a go" attitude. Stay well my green fingered brother.
Yes a very challenging year, but interestingly my European crops are doing well despite the poor weather, whereas the new world plants outside are struggling. Something definitely to note in my journal
we planted a lot of strawberries bought from the local garden centre but have only got two berries from the plants how do I save the plants to grow next year or do i have to throw them out & get new plants??
Brilliant advice Ivan.
This is my first year growing anything.
I've had a decent potato harvest and pea harvest.
Something I never thought I could do.
I owe alot of that to you for the videos.
Also I've sown alot more at the end of June for harvest in a few month like beetroot, turnip and cabbage.
Would never have known I could sow them that late without watching your channel.
Thanks for the videos ❤
Another great video
Those plum tomatoes look very tasty
The day I give up gardening is the day the good Lord takes me home. After the rats got my bell peppers, yesterday I armed myself with 4 bait traps and an old-fashioned rat trap. That sucker could take off the head of a small alligator. Never mess with an old woman's garden.
Thanks Ivan you've really helped me with these vlogs. It is indeed my first year growing and am happy with what I've got so far 🙂
The year without a spring now turning into the year without a summer. Thanks to the geoengineering / weather modification programs😊😊😊
No it wasn't your fault… look up !!!! 🛩🛩🛩
Thanks Ivan, I thought it was me. Love watching your channel I now have caravan wash bowls lol
